The Book Release Party!

Yesterday we celebrated the release of my new book The Gloriously Simple Guide to Getting What You Want at the Youth Dreamers Youth Center in Baltimore and let me just say it was an awesome feeling.  Here are my top three reasons why:

3) Seeing the new book in the hands of people I know and love and being so excited about all of the things it will help them achieve;

2)  Feeling the love and support of so many people who were at the event and those who sent well wishes from afar;

1)  And knowing my two daughters, Nerissa and Naya, were there to see that  Mommy is reaching for the stars and doing what she loves.  I want them to know that there's no limit to what they can do!

It's a little strange to know that I have two books under my belt now.  I'm so used to talking about Glori that I'll have to remind myself that I have multiple titles!  Someone asked me last night if I plan to write more books.  As long as God puts the words on my heart, I'll be writing.  We'll see what's next!

Thanks for all of your support, guys!

It's Finally Here! Get Your Copy of The Gloriously Simple Guide to Getting What You Want Today!

It's been a long time coming.  I actually wanted The Gloriously Simple Guide to Getting What You Want to be out and available in 2009, but revisions took longer than expected.  Oh and I had a baby somewhere around that time too.  :)  But I'm so proud of the finished product, and I'm excited to hear what you think!

Click here to purchase your copy today!

As you know, The Gloriously Simple Guide to Getting What You Want is a simple and effective five-part process for getting what you want in life.  It's not overly wordy or complicated.  It makes goal achievement SIMPLE, which is what I personally like.  I hope you do too!

I decided to write this book because people read Glori and wanted to know how I was able to put myself through college and pursue my dreams with a baby in tow.  After thinking about it, I came up with a simple (there's that word again!) acronym for the process I use in my head.  The result is a great, life-changing read.

I hope you like it!  Thank you for reading my blog, newsletters, Mantras, and books, and for all of your ongoing support.  Wow, you guys are great.

xoxoxoxo,

Nicole

Glori Recognized by AMCHP as a Resource for Adolescent Pregnancy

This week I was so delighted to see Glori mentioned in The Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs' newsletter as a resource for adolescent pregnancy! It feels good to be recognized and more importantly to know that more and more people are learning about Glori and the inspiration it offers. :)

Leading With Kindness

I recently heard about Leading With Kindness, a book by William F. Baker and Michael O'Malley on effective leadership. It's something we all know deep down inside, but Corporate America doesn't really emphasize or encourage - kindness is the most effective leadership tool!

If you're a manager, CEO, or supervisor, or if you're in any leadership position, please find out more information, including practical tips, by clicking here.

The Baltimore Book Festival

Yesterday I had a great time at The Baltimore Book Festival. It was a wonderful location with delicious food, and we met some really interesting people. Unfortunately, it rained all day - and when I say "rained," I mean RAINED, POURED, and STORMED! Despite the awful weather, we sold and signed books, talked to people about speaking engagements, and met some really talented authors. I would definitely recommend the event to other authors, folks in the publishing industry, and locals who want to check out great books.

I also have to tell you that I ate a delicious crab melt gyro for lunch at the tent beside us. I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but it was delish! I'll have to track them down!

Special, special, special thanks to Kendria and Meron who braved the wet weather to promote Glori and NicoleInk. Also, a special thanks to everyone who stopped by the tent, including my good friends Kia, Katrina, and Tamika. You guys are great!

Nicole
PS: You can still get a copy of Glori even if you missed the event. Click here!
